A: The test is coming tomorrow, I have ants in my pants①.

B: Don't worry. You've gone it over well. It is like shooting fish in a barrel②.

A: But I have butterflies in my stomach③.

B: Don't hold your breath④.

A: I see, thank you.

B: Break a leg⑤, try to ace⑥.

Notes:

①have ants in one's pants 坐立不安

Why do you have ants in your pants? 你为什么坐立不安?

②like shooting fish in a barrel 瓮中捉鳖;手到擒来

Our product was so good that once people found out about it, selling it was like shooting fish in a barrel. 我们的产品优良,只要顾客知道了,销售就没问题,简直是手到擒来。

③have butterflies in my stomach 心里紧张;七上八下

When I met my teacher for the first time I had butterflies in my stomach. 当我第一次去见我的老师时,我心里紧张得七上八下。

④Don't hold your breath. 别期望太高。

You shouldn't hold your breath. 别对自己期望太高。

⑤break a leg 表演真实;获得成功

Break a leg tomorrow at your job interview. I hope that you'll get the job. 希望你明天的面试表现完美,得到那份工作。

⑥ace 得满分;得到完美的结果

I didn't ace the test as I thought. I actually got ten wrong out of one hundred. 我没像预料的那样考满分。实际上只得了90分。
